New Recruits

*Please note: all steps must be completed for applicant to be considered.

  • A cover letter and resume must be provided
  • Must have proof of valid First Aid and CPR Certification at the time a job offer is given
  • Show diploma for completion of four years of secondary school education or the equivalent
  • Completed video of yourself running to a level seven (7) on the shuttle run (Click here to upload).

  • Completed Vision and Hearing Medical Forms
  • Completed Recruitment Consent and Release of Liability Form
  • Two (2) pieces of Government issued Photo Identification (ie. Drivers Licence, Passport, Canadian
    Citizenship, Secure Certificate of Indian Status). Ensure to submit front and back of your identification.
  • School Transcripts (Secondary and Post-Secondary education)
  • Fitness Logs for a period of 14 days (within the last 60 days)
  • Include any other documentation for consideration

Note:

All required documents must be completed in full and submitted within six (6) months of the initial application; failure to do so will result in your file being closed.

Hearing, Vision, and Medical Assessments, if completed prior to the application or for another police service in Ontario, will only be accepted if they are dated within the last ninety (90) days and completed by a qualified medical professional.

 

What to Expect:

Once we have received an application, the following will occur:

  • Pre-screen of applicant

  • Pre-background Questionnaire & Personal History

  • Panel Interview

  • Psychological Evaluation

  • Background Investigation

  • Offer of employment or letter of rejection

Experienced Officers
