Seized Firearms in Pic Mobert after Threatening Incident

(Heron Bay, ON) – On March 21, 2019, officers from the Anishinabek Police Service (APS) Pic River / Pic Mobert Detachment with the assistance of members of the Fort William and Ginoogaming Detachments executed a search warrant at a Pic Mobert First Nation residence. 

The investigation resulted in the seizure of four firearms.  A 27 year old male & a 27 year old female from Pic Mobert First Nation were charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm & careless storage of a firearm.   The female was also charged with uttering threats.

Both individuals have been released from custody and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on May 15, 2019.
